Lenovo introduced a 17-inch gaming laptop with a touchscreen
Laptops for games have always differed from models designed for everyday tasks. If companies like Alienware and Razer are working to reduce the thickness of their gaming laptops, Lenovo is moving in a different direction. At the IFA exhibition in Berlin, the Chinese manufacturer introduced the Y70 Touch weighing 3.4 kg.
According to Lenovo, the Y70 Touch is "thinner and lighter" for most laptops in its class. This may be true, because the size of the screen Y70 Touch is superior to the latest 13- and 14-inch laptops Alienware and Razer. The novelty is equipped with a 17.3-inch display - displays with such a screen size were in favor with gamers, until they realized the benefits of more compact and transportable computers, writes TheVerge.
Nevertheless, the Y70 Touch has one feature - it's a screen (1920 × 1080), made using touch technologies. Most gaming machines do not have this advantage. The new laptop is also equipped with an optical drive with external connection.
Lenovo Y70 Touch is equipped with a Core i7 processor, Nvidia GTX graphics, up to 16 GB RAM, a 1TB hard drive or 256 GB solid state drive. As expected, the new laptop does not shine for long battery life, its resource does not exceed five hours. Most likely, it's not even in full load.
To date, the Lenovo Y70 Touch is the largest laptop in the Lenovo portfolio. The novelty will go on sale in October at a price of $ 1,299.
