For the general director of Panda, «an antivirus is insufficient in the face of cybercrime»

The main person in charge of Panda in Spain, Rosa Díaz, urges "to look for solutions that go further and that protect us better

Cybercrime is becoming increasingly sophisticated and defending itself requires greater cooperation from companies, administrations and countries because antivirus programs are becoming insufficient to save themselves from cyberattacks. This was stated on Tuesday by the general director of Panda Spain, Rosa Díaz, during a meeting on cybersecurity organized by the National Cryptological Center.

"Nowadays, an antivirus is not enough, now we have to look for solutions that go further and that protect us better from threats," said Rosa Diaz during the CCN-CERT Conference. The board has also made it clear that "just as criminals come together to attack us, it's up to us to unite and collaborate with each other to face cybercrime, innovating and working together."

The permanent technological innovation and cooperation, both between different countries and between private companies and the public sector, are essential to combat cyberthreats. "Moving forward and working together, with clients and companies, to improve the security of everyone on the Internet" are the keys to the future of cybersecurity for Microsoft's technology director, Héctor Sánchez Montenegro.

The National Cryptological Center, dependent on the National Intelligence Center (CNI), has managed since its creation in 2006 more than 66,000 cyber incidents and 1.5 critical attacks per day against public administrations and companies of strategic interest for national security, according to revealed the director of the CNI, Felix Sanz Roldán.

A total of 57 speakers will participate between Tuesday and Wednesday in their conference on cybersecurity, which are attended by more than 1,600 experts in cybersecurity and reputable companies such as Microsoft, S2 Group, Panda, Telefonica or Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
