Twitter already allows the broadcast of live video
Until now this functionality was only available through Periscope
The millions of Twitter users can already broadcast live video from Wednesday from the platform's mobile application, without having to resort to Periscope.
Although the app allowed streaming playback live since January, it was necessary to use the Periscope video application, something that is no longer mandatory with this update, available today for iOS and Android devices.
Users will see the videos embedded in tweets and may retweet, but also interact directly on the broadcast with comments or sending hearts to indicate that the content is to our liking.
"Live video is the most immersive way to experience what is happening in the world, from protests to celebrations to fun moments, we make it easier than ever to broadcast live video," they say from Twitter Spain.
To start broadcasting live, you just have to click on the 'write Tweet' button and then on the 'Live' button, where you can preview how the video will start. When everything is ready, click on 'Relay live' to start the retransmission.
"Once you're broadcasting live, anyone on Twitter and Periscope can join your video and participate and interact with your experience," they explain from the platform.
